To me, Genetics and Genomics are where biology meets maths, statistics, and problem solving and it just makes my brain happy. I would love to pursue further study in this area as I've completed as much as was available within my undergraduate studies.
I did a super broad major in Maths between the University of Canberra and Monash. I'm so glad I got to study cross institutionally as I had the joy of more number theory than UC would have offered, more maths history than Monash goes into, and the best unit of my entire degree The Nature and Beauty of Mathematics.
In a parallel world maybe I'm healthy enough to have finished the accreditation units and be a secondary school teacher. In this world though, I've studied a lot of education theory and I am always finding myself in situations where I can apply it.
I've always loved numbers and I found financial maths the part that came the most naturally in school. I started my Cert IV after being frustrated that I couldn't fully understand JuggleHub's tax return. This was a fun course (and one of the more practical ones).
It only takes one back handspring gone wrong to mess up the neck and prompt a career change. I still love juggling and my time at NICA gave me easy access to Melbourne's JuggleLab!
Growing up playing piano and flute, trombone is completely different and brings me joy. I've also been getting back into arranging pieces so I'm slowly adding to my MuseScore profile if you're looking for cleanly formatted trombone parts.
Wildest dream: Play Trombone in Tokyo Dome.
I started juggling when I was 12 and I will never forget the excitement of my first juggling convention. I'm much more of a pass juggler, I love patterns that hurt the brain, I'm normally up for a scramble or a group passing pattern and I do try get a run of numbers every now and then.
Ever since I was injured I've loved knitting as something to fidget with and keep my brain busy. I prefer to knit in the round and figure out my own patterns - there's something about problem solving to put cables together that is beautiful! I don't keep my ravelry as updated as I should but feel free to add me over there.
I feel obliged to give a little shout out to the origins of this domain name. It was 2016, I was in the middle of studying circus and enjoying a good soy chai most days while living it up in Melbourne. These days I still love chai but black tea tends to be a migraine trigger so lean towards a rooibos base.
